The adjustment utilized by our doctors is an extremely gentle and controlled adjustment. Much like how a golfer positions himself differently and precisely for every birdie putt, the doctor will also align himself to the patient in the same manner. The calculations that are derived from your x-ray analysis dictate the position your doctor must take to optimally reduce your misalignment.
Since the human head weighs anywhere from 10-14lbs. the head will be comfortably positioned in a way that will create a “biomechanical weight advantage,” over the atlas. When performed accurately these two aspects allow the atlas and head to move with out a lot of depth or any fast, forceful movements. That translates into an adjustment that is highly accurate, barely felt, and incorparates no twisting or “cracking” of the spine.
